Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds beef cubes, from chuck steak, 3/4-inch cubes
- 8 ounces canned tomatoes
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- dash pepper
- 1 small onion, sliced
Steps
- Brown beef cubes in saucepan until well browned.
- Break up large pieces of tomatoes.
- Stir in garlic powder and pepper. Pour over beef.
- Cover and cook over low heat until beef is almost tender-about 1 hour.
- Add onion and green pepper.
- Cover and continue cooking until vegetables and beef are tender—about 30 minutes.
- Serve with cooked rice, if desired.
- Serves 2.
