How to Make Beef and Peppers

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds beef cubes, from chuck steak, 3/4-inch cubes
  • 8 ounces canned tomatoes
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • dash pepper
  • 1 small onion, sliced

Steps

  1. Brown beef cubes in saucepan until well browned.
  2. Break up large pieces of tomatoes.
  3. Stir in garlic powder and pepper. Pour over beef.
  4. Cover and cook over low heat until beef is almost tender-about 1 hour.
  5. Add onion and green pepper.
  6. Cover and continue cooking until vegetables and beef are tender—about 30 minutes.
  7. Serve with cooked rice, if desired.
  8. Serves 2.
